Hey Brent

I am trying to install WHS Mobile add in V1.5.4.0 and everytime it comes up with " Service "WHS Mobile Alert Service" (WHSMobile) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system service."

I am logged in as administrator so i dont see a problem.... any ideas??

Had issue connecting to the server after downloading itunes WHS Mobile update to my iphone. Fixed by logging into the server and uninstalling the 1.5.3.? add-in and updating it to 1.5.4.0. hey brent

ever since i updated i have been unable to connect to my WHS the message is as follows

" Uh oh!

Either the WHS mobile Domain is incorrect, or the domain cannot be connected"

please advise as i have went through the posts and threads and have tried everything i can think of and everything i have found to no avail

thank you for any and all help you can offer in this matter

ok... not sure if uninstalling the sql service from the former homebase or ...

I checked my iis logs for the web service and noticed it did not appear anything was getting to it. so what I did was browse to my internal homeserver ip:8169 then configured my iphone to point to my internal ip as well and connected it via my home wireless. Once I did this I tried it again and it worked. I have since changed my iphone config back to my .homeserver.com and thus far still working.

Brent, I have an updated home-built homeserver running whs moble 1.5.4 and an iphone running the same version of the client. I'm getting the "uh oh!" message when trying to connect.

I have double checked the port forwarding on my router to assure I'm forwarding 8169 (amongst other WHS ports), and I can reach the WHS page from my xxx.homeserver.com domain.

I've also attempted to conntect from 3G data, WiFi on the same local network as the homeserver, and WiFi on an external network...none work.

What could be my problem?

*** i have been playing trying to get things to work, and it seems no matter what I try i get teh same ut-oh. I have removed other add-ins and have verified that I have .net 3.5 sp1...

Tnx for this nice app, but iit doesnt work here.. everytime i get the uh-oh message

port on router is also set... i hope you can help me out.
