WHS Add-Ins On Hold Wednesday, January 14 2009 - Add-Ins

I recently gave away my Windows Home Server and do not yet have a new test WHS. Until I get a new VM setup the way I need (school likes to hog my time), DVD Manager; TV Manager; and WHS Mobile have been put on hold (add that to the list of other add-ins on hold). In the mean time, I may be working on porting DVD Manager and WHS Mobile/EmailControl to any Windows OS (Workstation and Server). This is mainly because I made my add-ins to share what I’ve found useful but currently, I can’t use my own add-ins without a Windows Home Server. My server setup has changed to a Server 2008 VM inside of a quad-core (6GB RAM) Windows 7 desktop. So if my site has any issues, it is the result of the VM not restarting or my desktop is off (which is almost never is).

Anyway, to recap:

  • Add-ins on hold.
  • Don’t have a dedicated server anymore.

May I suggest that you set up an "Paypal donate now" button on your site? This way I am sure that the Home Server Community will contribute with some money so that you can go and get yoruself a new home server:-)

Agreed. I'd hook ya up with a $20 spot or so for your App. I really like it, and would love to see you continue building it.
