TabCreator v0.0.1

TabCreator is a simple way to host your own applications inside its separate Windows Home Server Console Tab. TabCreator makes it easy to add frequently used applications to the Windows Home Server Console.

Example tabs created with TabCreator:

  • DVD Shrink

Brent,

This looks to be just what I need for my Imation cd-stack box. I will try it out this evening. :)

Thank you for another great addin!

Brent,

Downloaded and tried to create a tab for Task Manager. However after restarting the console it doesn't display anything. If I have Task Manager running prior to starting the console I get a popup window that says; "Process has exited, so that requested information is not available".

A couple of suggestions;

1) Move the creation of tabs to a Settings Tab as there is no reason to have a tab for creating tabs on the tab bar.

2) Allow the tab settings to be edited.

Brent

Cyberke,

Your welcome. :-)

TxDot,

1) The tab is required for TabCreator to be able to add other tabs programmatically. I'll look into a way to do that without creating a default tab.

2) That will be in a future release.

Thanks mate,

It doesn't work perfect but it works for me. I need to move the Free Download Manager program from my workstation to WHS which works 24/7 for downloads in the off-peak times. It has some problems with location of the app screen but all of the functionality of underlying app works just fine. I am more then happy about it.

Great work

Zola

I've been looking for something like this. Thanks a lot.

You are welcome.

I don't get Visual SVN Server to work with it :(

the executable is "C:\Windows\system32\mmc.exe" (used for all sort of management consoles)

the file to open is "C:\Programme\VisualSVN Server\bin\VisualSVN Server.msc"

the window title in the end is "VisualSVN Server"

the server is downloadable on www.visualsvn.com (i'd suggest it for coding anyways, so you may like it :) )

i just get a white window. i now try utorrent :)

oh, and btw, yes, i'd suggest to put the tab away and into the settings. and a "reset console" straight from the settings when adding / removing a tab, that'll be cool, too.

anyways, you do some great work. hope i get it to work for me :)
